Street Children Project:
YMCA Visakhapatnam is presently doing an important Service Project of Junior Citizen Rehabilitation Programme for Street Children. This charitable service was started in April 1991. At any given time there are about 25 to 30 children now living in the shelter at YMCA Visakhapatnam.
These Junior Citizens are mostly picked up from various areas like Railway Station, Bus Stand and orphans from slums and streets and are accommodated in our Junior Citizen Shelter. They are being accommodated in the YMCA campus itself in a building with all the required facilities like individual beds, good homely food, clothing, Study facilities, medical care, sports and games activities training, moral teaching. YMCA also providing coaching in various Sports and Games, Vocational Training and Counseling.

Proposed Old Age home and Spiritual Retreat Centre
YMCA Visakhapatnam is planning to establish an old age home and spiritual retreat centre at the outskirts of the city in the future. YMCA is in the look out for a larger piece of land of minimum 5 acres at the outskirts of the city to establish a landmark complex for the purpose in due course.

Free Legal Aid Cell - On every Saturday
YMCA Visakhapatnam in association with Rotary Club of Waltair conducts regular Free Legal Aid Cell every Saturday and Sunday evening from 6pm -7pm at YMCA Hall. Advocate provides legal consultation to the poor and particularly to the women is rendered at Free of Cost.

Community Service Programme
YMCA Visakhapatnam undertakes Community Service Programmes every month by extending help to the poor and needy of the communities and deserving persons up to an amount of Rs. 5000/- as per the resolution of the Board on the recommendation of Directors on the Board.

Funds for Charitable Service / Programme: The YMCA's projects and programmes and charitable service works are financed through the income from the Tourist Hostel, Membership Fees, subscriptions, and donations from generous public and philanthropists.
